How often do you wish God can be like your close friend that answers all your requests immediately? I mean a friend to touch, to play with, a friend that answers even before you call. Stick with me. Is it not becoming boring to you to always hear that faith is the way God answers prayers? Don’t divide your attention here. Faith remains a requirement for God to answer prayers, but every of your prayer may frustrate you if you don’t follow this ultimate prayer guide:

  • Do The Exchange
  • Don’t Worry
  • Unite Together

DO THE EXCHANGE

“As they ministered to the LORD, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me, Barnabas and Saul, for the work whereunto I have called them”– Acts 13:2

Will it be difficult for you to agree with me that most times, all you do in praying is a petition? This post is not saying “petitioning” or making your request known to God is not scriptural, but do you ever consider another form of prayer that God answers? This type of prayer ministers to God himself. Anytime and every time you petition to the Lord, you are praying for him to manifest himself and meet your needs. I know you will agree with me that God has interests to meet your needs, but too much of the time, you focus too much on your needs and forget that God has needs too. Sometimes, all you just need to do is to wait and minister to the Lord. These times, you are not asking for anything, not petitioning, but ministering to God. If you consider the Bible verse at the beginning of this point, you will observe that the disciples were ministering, not petitioning to the Lord. This does not mean petitioning is not scriptural, but please God first by ministering to him and watch him meet your needs. Exchange petitions with ministrations.

DON’T WORRY

“Be careful with nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God” – Philippians 4:6

If you get a thousand dollars every time you worry, can you imagine how rich you will be? Too many times, you want to pray and get God to do something about your many anxieties, but, God tells you to do something about them. He says, “Be careful for nothing.” As long as you worry and give room for fear, you will nullify the effects of your prayers. If you want to cast your cares upon God, it is a once-and-for-all proposition. Once you cast your burden on the Lord, he has it and that ends it. If you always think you can’t live without worrying, that section of the Bible will not work for you. You don’t have to always have concerns about the things you don’t understand in God’s word, the first step is for you to practice what you do know in God’s word. The rest of the situation will take care of itself. If people come to you to tell you that you don’t have sense to worry, go ahead to tell them, you have too much Bible sense not to worry. Your cares do exist, but, the bottom line is that you don’t have them.

UNITE TOGETHER

“And being let go, they went to their own company and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.”- Acts 4:23

Do you remember the popular adage that birds of a feather flock together? Plus, you show me your friend and I will tell you who you are. It is a very beautiful thing to be among responsible friends when you are in trouble. It is good to be with people who know how to pray. Do you know the fundamental truth of life? Your intimate company of friends will have so much influence on your spiritual success. Who do you run to when you can not encourage yourself? Who do you share your deepest secrets with? Are you a lone ranger? The battle of life does not select candidates, but it gives you the privilege to select who your team members should be for you to be victorious. Look at it from the angle of the disciples in Acts 4:23. After much scolding from religious leaders, the only people they report things to are their friends who encourage them to do more for God. Listen to this secret, one of the easiest way to get God to answer your prayers is to pray with unity in a team of people with the same goal. The strategy is for you to be among friends who know the “how” to pray.

The essence of everything?

It is not all about faith, although, faith is part of it. In most cases, you need to look beyond your present need and focus more on the LORD, just stay with him, praise him, cast all your cares on him and don’t forget to keep friends that can help you in the days of trouble.

Shalom. See you in the comment section.
